Free Mindfulness Taster Session About the session These sessions are run in a friendly online group setting, guided by one of our wonderful and highly experienced teachers. You will be given an introduction to what mindfulness is, how it is practiced, and guided through some short practices and a meditation. You will come away with some simple practices to help you incorporate mindfulness into your daily life, as well as some suggestions for the next steps to take on your journey with mindfulness. This taster session will now be held online via Zoom - an easy to use online webinar/conference call programme. We'll email you the details about how to join a week before the event. Suitable for Anyone experiencing stress associated with work, relationships, loss and other factors outside your control, including dealing with the general complexity and pace of modern life. What you will need To join the online taster session you will need WiFi connection, a microphone and camera. It is very accessible so for this session you can use either laptop, phone or tablet. Meet the Teacher Karen Liebenguth Karen is an accredited mindfulness teacher, trainer and supervisor with Breathworks UK, a leadership coach, and restorative justice facilitator for conflict resolution. She delivers tailored mindfulness & compassion programmes for the workplace and offers guidance and knowledge to help organisations establish and foster a culture of wellbeing, resilience and belonging. Karen coaches ethical leaders - leaders who care about the environment and other people - helping them to grow their confidence and make their life more meaningful. Her speciality is coaching clients outdoors, walking side by side through green spaces. Karen brings a mindful, creative and highly personable approach to her work with corporate, public and charitable businesses across London, helping to develop a compassionate and effective culture, online and in-person. She trained in mindfulness & compassion practices, transpersonal coaching, eco-psychology, and restorative facilitation. Karen is a member of the British Association for Mindfulness Based Approaches (BAMBA), a member of the Association for Coaching and the British Restorative Justice Council. On Completion As well as giving you an introduction to mindfulness and the Breathworks approach, this taster will also allow you to understand which of the 8-week courses will be the most suitable for you, either Mindfulness for Health or Mindfulness for Stress.
